How long do trauma patients stay in the hospital?
Your stay at will vary depending on the severity of your injuries. Patients may be admitted to the Trauma Service for observation because of potentially life-threatening injuries that resolve quickly. Other patients with severe injuries may require a prolonged hospitalization, either on a medical/surgical floor or in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
